How do I sign up for your services?
You can email your resume to us from our website or mail, fax, drop it off at our office.
How does the process work?
After we get your resume we enter it into our system. Then we start matching you up with our clients. Once you have been on assignment with one of our clients for six (6) months or more you are eligible to convert from our payroll and benefits program and become a DIRECT EMPLOYEE of the client.
What is the cost?
It is Free! There is no cost to you. The fee is payable by the hiring employer.
What if the job doesn’t last 6 months?
If our client lets you go because of lack of work or some other hardship. We will try to put you back to work as soon as possible.
How long till EDD of Florida will find me work?
Unfortunately we cannot give you any time period that we would be able to put you back to work.
When will I hear from EDD of Florida?
We will contact you when we are able to match you up with one of our many clients in the state of Florida. You can call us and this will update your active resume in our system.
Do I get any benefits?
Yes! As a Direct Employee of E.D.D. of Florida you will receive Paid Holidays, Annual Paid Vacations, Time and a Half for all Overtime.
Will my job be temporary or permanent?
We will do our best to advise you whether the job is temporary or permanent before we submit your resume to our client for review. If the assignment is temporary we will tell you what the client projects the duration of the assignment
After I sign up for your service can I still look for work on my own?
Yes we encourage you to keep up your job search.
How do I get paid?
Once you have an assign with one of our clients. We will mail your paycheck to you. If it is more convenient for you, it is possible to pick-up your check in our office during normal business hours.
When do I get paid?
We pay every 2 weeks (bi-weekly basis). You will be paid for all of the hours you worked in the preceding 2 weeks. We do not hold back any of you pay. The pay period ends on Sunday, we collect the time data and process payroll so you have your paycheck in you mailbox on Friday.
What if my check doesn’t arrive in the mail?
First call our office. Checks that are mailed do require a couple of days to get to you. After a Stop Payment has been processed the missing paycheck will be promptly replaced.
What happens if I don’t like the assignment EDD of Florida has found for me?
Call our office and we will try to fix the problem. If you still don’t want to work for our client we need to locate an appropriate replacement for them.
Should I call EDD of Florida everyday looking for work?
No, but you can call us once a week to once a month. This will keep you in our Hot Candidate File. Rest assured the minute we have an assignment for you, we will be doing everything possible to contact you.
How long do you keep my resume on file?
You will be in our Hot Candidate File for up to 90 Days. We reset the 90 day timer each time we have communications with you. Long term we keep your resume for a period of 5 yrs. At that time we will send you a notice asking you to update your resume with us.
Why should I use your service?
Your resume won’t just get stacked up on some HR person’s desk. It will get to the manager that does the hiring. We pre-sell our clients on your qualifications and knowledge before they even see your resume. Our clients have entrusted us to deliver to them top quality people at affordable rates.
What geographical area do your jobs cover?
Our clients are all over the state of Florida.
Do you find jobs out of state?
We can find jobs in other states. However, we prefer to focus on the southern region and the State of Florida.
I’m willing to relocate will this help my job search?
Yes remaining flexible in a job search is very helpful. Please let us, at EDD of Florida, know if your willing to relocate.
